Clean, safe, affordable access to water is one of the most basic human rights, yet, still over 2.2 billion people lack access to safely managed drinking water services. Water is at the heart of sustainable development and is critical for socio-economic development, energy and food production, and for human survival itself. The goal of this assignment, was to choose a human rights issue and create 3 phone wallpapers that symbolized and addressed the problem. This was done by using positive space to create images within the negative space. Each design tackles the impact of wasting water—from filling up the bottle, to the bottle starting to leak, and then to the bottle spilling everywhere.
